Solar Camping Lights also known as solar camping lanterns come in different flavors. Some will have ultra bright LEDs as the light source, other will come with fluorescent tubes.
Some solar camping lights even have an AM/FM and weather channel receiver.
All solar powered lanterns work in the same way: They are equipped with a small solar panel which charges rechargeable batteries during daylight. The solar panel can be built-in or stand alone.
Most of the time an AC/DC power adapter and a 12V car cigarette lighter plug is included with this kind of solar light.
These accessories provide power to the solar camping light in case there is not enough sun to charge the batteries.
Solar camping lights are also often used as emergency lights. In case of power failure the solar light will help you find your way.
They can be used anywhere where electricity is not available. |
